About us

Careers South West Ltd is a company limited by guarantee. (Registered office; Tamar Business Park, Pennygillam Industrial Estate, Launceston, PL15 7ED. No. 3029947 Registered in England and Wales).

The Company is publicly accountable to the community through the organisations that are its corporate members. The Company is wholly owned and controlled by four local authority corporate members:

• Cornwall Council
• Devon County Council
• Plymouth City Council
• Torbay Council.

With over 450 employees and £19 million turnover in 2008/09 Careers South West Ltd is now one of the region's top performing organisations - providing good public value and building on our strong reputation for delivering exceptionally high quality services to time and within budget.

The continuous development of our partnership arrangements is fundamental to the performance and success of the Company, and we maintain good relations with a wide range of key strategic stakeholders and partners; including the Department for Education (DfE), the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (DBIS), Government Office for the South West (GOSW), the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), local authorities, schools, colleges, training providers, third sector organisations, employers and their representatives, Jobcentre Plus, NHS trusts, Devon and Cornwall Constabulary and higher education institutions.
